Mopar Lighted tow mirrows

Dug up these shots of what mopar is offering as heated/power lighted tow mirrows. They pull out to extend. To me they look to dumboish/Fordish. They are not direct plug and play, but they do come with clips that attach to the OEM harness, so no splicing. Fits 2002 and up 1500, 2003 and up 25/3500 new body trucks.
The part number is 82209293, quite spendy at $495.00

Now why couldn't they just keep it simple and add a lite to the existing style???

No kidding. I have been pondering the possibility of attempting it myself, just need to find a wreck with a good pair to experiment with.

From what I was reading the aftermarket ones are quite simular, minus the Ram emblem on the glass. As usual, Mopar will not mention who makes them for them. I do not remember exactly from what I was reading who makes them either. Search the TDR forums and I believe you may find that info. I'm gonna try a pair of sport bike flush mount signals on a set of current mirrors and let everyone know how they came out.

I think 01350Banshee is right, I was looking around and found aftermarket mirrors that look almost identical to those pictured above. The company name is

**** look under towing mirrors the picture looks like the same one minus the light.

I'm not liking them as much now.

I find myself towing more and more without flipping mine. I'm with cma1day, I would like to see mine extend instead of flip.

I have been thinking about installing LED lights on the ends of the tow mirrors. If it wasn't such a pain to run the wiring I would probably have already done it by now.

I had my mirror off and was trying to do the same thing and like you said the real pain is running the wiring. There is too much of a a bend where the factory harness goes in the mirror housing that it makes routing the wire very difficult...but I haven't given up yet.
