No the over head is receiving the false info that the module is giving the computer. The only way to acurately calculate the mileage is do it the old fashion way. So you like the XZT. I have one coming.

I have the xzt box also. Makes nice power at a nice price. I wish the overhead was correct. I routinely show 24-26mpg on the highway also. This is optimistic by about 4mpg. At 60-65mph I get an average of 20-21mpg hand-calculated, filled to the neck, with the help of the vent mod...

My overhead shows +5 mpg than my calculated with the XZT on. Disappointing at the pump, but not at the throttle.

SO what is the vent mod?

I am looking at a nice cheaper mod like the XZT and some other simple mods to increase the mileage/power when towing.

I tow about 11800 lbs almost everyday. 04 single cab Dually 6 speed.

Any suggestions?

Regards,

Vent mod is something that is done in order to increase the speed and ease of filling your tank to maximum capacity. If you've stood there at the pump long after the first click, trying to get as much fuel as possible in your tank, you know the frustration. If you're the impatient type like so many of us here...
