The Mighty Smarty
the smarty fools with aftermarket turbo software. you could run a stocker with it, for a little while until it grenades. they say aftermarket, they mean it. with my turbo and the wild, and beta hot, i can way too easily hit 50psi. your stocker will not live with that program.
Thanks'

I run mine on #2 all the time. #3 had more timing rattle than I liked. It only smokes visibly when the boost is very low and you romp on it. Just normal driving you hardly ever see any smoke, but im running cool duals also, so that may split it up enough to where you dont see it.

The only reason I tried the aftermarket turbo program is because the standard (non-boost fooling) software was unusable due to high EGT's. I couldn't even floor it on level #3 for a few seconds without EGT's soaring past 1400*. The stock 30-32psi of boost is not enough to cool all the extra fuel added by the Smarty.
I don't understand why the Smarty doesn't have a boost fooling version with a safe max boost still controlled by the WG??? Instead of increasing the max boost via the software they just disable the WG entirely. A version with 40psi of max boost limited by the WG would be the most ideal. Come on guys it can't be that hard!
So I should purchase the Quad Boost Fooler when I purchase the Smarty? My truck is stock and I wanted to run the Smarty at the most level 5. Of course I will probably try level 7 or 8 or 9 but not all the time, just once around the block as they say. LOL
Does the Quad boost fooler disable the WG completely or does it just increase the max boost limit to ~42psi and still use the WG?
Jrussell ... I have wanted a boost enhanced Smarty S/W (limited to 40-42 PSI) also....
With the Quad and Smarty for stock sticks and turbo I hit 45 psi (maybe more but I let off)
Agreed the stock turbo can deal with 35 psi easy and even 40 psi often if you don't bark it.
Wild and Moderate (stock sticks and stock turbo) would really benefit from a 40 PSI limited boost version
Till then ... I just keep my Quad in... (I may try the after market turbo version) However taking the Quad in and out is faster than swapping S/W in the ECU.

It seems you need to fool the boost somehow to be able to use all the power available. I just changed to the aftermarket turbo program instead of buying a Quad boost fooler. Figured it would be doing the same thing either way?

Ive hit over 42psi with my stock turbo, Smarty w/original programming, and quad boost fooler.
