MBRP Exhaust

Will the MBRP high flow muffler and CAT "Test Pipe" work on my stock 06 exhausts or will I need to modify it? What is to be gained with the CAT “Test Pipe"?

if the muffler is for an 06, yes, you have 4 inch exhaust.

as far as removing the kitty, there wont be much advice here about that, as DTR cannot condone the removal/modification of any federally mandated emissions device. sorry.

Who is asking for DTR to condone anything? Seems the question is merely as to differing rates of flow with/without different pieces of equipment?

Hmmmm, not quite getting your link between condoning a practice and discussing data...

I can discuss the effects of many things all day long (illicit drug use for instance) without condoning any of the practices.

Ahhh, nevermind me, I am sure I am beating a dead horse with logic and it will go no where (not that I care for it to).

Fair enough.

Looks like a nice horse trailer and I would love to see how you have your CB mounted... How's that for a thread hijack?!?!?

Sorry for the trouble but I am only asking a question about a product that is being sold in the DTR store. I know on my stock muffler the hanging brackets are mounted on it, will the high flow muffler have the hangers on it or do I need to replace them?

I was going to mention that very point, but thought it would prove fruitless with the "kitty" police...

Now where is that darn 'irony' smilie anyways?

From what I have read...removing the cat won't be worth the gain if you get caught If you live in a state that has emissions testing, I'd leave it on. Just my .02

Thanks for the replies and the helpful PM. I guess I will just have to order the muffler and see if it has the brackets on it. I live in Texas… that is all I am going to say about the whole cat issue.

As far as the the muffler goes, when I ordered my MBRP 4" system, the Muffler did have brackets already welded to it.
Can't help you on the flow difference between running through the cat verses running through the "Test-Pipe".
