it certainly gets rave reviews...Got a message in to Oxman...He put a Rokktech on his '06...But now he's put a Quad in too....I'm progressing at a slightly slower pace than he is I'll see what his thought are on improvement before he got the box

Keep in mind that doing the tone ring mod gives you enough power that you can actually feel it and that's worth the trouble no matter what. I can't tell you how many expensive things I've put on vehicles in the past that were supposed to give power gains but didn't give anything that you could actually feel.

I put rubber hose over anything that my filter touches so that nothing rubs through. I butchered up my stock air box so that it's basically just the bottom left except for the mounting points. Now the filter rests on it. This keeps water off of the filter. My filter rubs against the hood though..

I get lots of looks when I'm coming up the road now due to the turbo noise. I just wish people were hearing an aftermarket turbo......

Dodgezilla, have you ever had trouble with water coming through the front grill and getting the filter wet? I'm more concerned about that then I am with water coming up from the bottom.

By the way, Herrin, do the tone ring mod. You won't regret it.

With the Outerwears cover I don't even worry about it. How much water can really get through there anyways??

So....Tone Ring Guru's....Could you drill the dowel hole in the tone ring???

And...My crank pulley is marked for TDC....That mark gonna be critical to anything? Or does that dowel catch on the back of the pulley?

I used a drill to enlarge the hole slightly and then used a file and filed away. The dowel catches on the crank shaft pulley. You'll see it when you pull the pulley off.

TONE RING DONE!!!

Wasnt that bad at all, the worst part was getting the belt back on

With the wheel in place it now rotates about the width of one tooth...Not sure on the math but that should be around 3 degrees???

Havent driven it yet, but it started up after a couple extra cranks and no codes...

Further report after I get some miles on it

Looks good. How did you get the red map lights? Did you just change the bulbs?

Tone Ring Mod Update

Last tank (pre-Tone Ring)
13.0 Overhead/13.7 Hand...

Post Tone Ring
13.1 Overhead/14.3 Hand

Approx 1.1 gal more fuel used this tank, and went 25 miles further on the tank

Unless my math is goofy, I definitely saw at least .5 MPG increase, HOWEVER I spent a greater amount of high-idle/warm-up time on this tank than the previous one..I really think that knocked me down, and my real numbers should be over 15 MPG

BTW: I fill it up to the neck every time...Even if I overfilled the 1.1 gallon this time compared to last, my economy would be 15.2

1500 miles on the truck, gotta get broke in still...C'mon 20 MPG!!
