Manual transmission question
Manual transmission question
My friend has an '06 dually. Tryin' to find out what kind of power his manual trans can handle before we start doing any mods. I know the clutch will probably have to be changed, but what else? And what do y'all recommend for a clutch? Thanx.
I am wanting a Southbend OFE. When changin the clutch you should replace the dualmass flywheel with a single mass. Other than that change the oil to some high quality to try and reduce heat and thats about it.
My stock clutch held a 130 horse quad and later an mp8 with no worries. My currnet stack is a diff story.

I'm running the same stack as Wap. I set the MP-8 no higher than 25% and the TST at 3/2 and everything feels fine right now. I'm sure that if I "Enjoy" my newfound power that I will also need that clutch upgrade soon...
Check my sig.
The harder I pound on it, the more it wants. Note: These results are not typical. I dont know how my clutch or flywheel are holding up to this. I run with just one box mostly and it alone dynoed 428hp on the ground
