magnets in aluminum tranny pans
magnets in aluminum tranny pans
I have an aluminum tranny pan and when I first swapped it out I forgot to move the magnet from my steel pan. The drain plug has a magnet and on fluid changes I have not seen too much material there.
I'm getting ready to drop the pan and do a filter change and I just ran across the bigger magnet from the steel pan which made me remember I forgot it before. Can I just put the magnet in the pan? It won't stick to the aluminum... Maybe JBweld it to the pan? or just let it rattle around? I guess I'm wondering if it might end up stuck to something on the bottom of the tranny and cause issues. Or maybe I just continue to use only the drain plug magnet?
What have you all done?
