Magnaflow muffler question

Does anyone out there sell JUST the 4" Magnaflow muffler. Right now all I am finding is the kit, but not JUST the muffler. Anyone have a lead on a Magnaflow 4" muff for my truck?

Also, I have noticed that from the turbo to the muffler, I have 3 1/2" and from the muffler back, I have 4"

I bought mine from bigexhaust.com. Just go to the site and check under the Magnaflow diesel muffler section. I forget which one I got but it was the closest in length to the stock muffler. What I did is cut the very end off the tailpipe so that the muffler would fit onto it. Also, get some 4" stainless band clamps to hold it all together. The stock muffler will have to be cut off because of the C-clamps they use from the factory. I also got a Banks 4" downpipe and some 4" truck exhaust piping so my whole exhaust is 4".

Signed,
Gilligan

The stock muffler is 3.5 on both ends . Then it swedges up to 4'' tail pipe section. Muffler is 38''. Go to a muffler shop and get a 38'' by 3.5'' pipe stretched on each end and put that in its place.

I forgot too. I had to use a reducer to make the 4" muffler mate to the factory pipe in front of it. The reducer they sell at bigexhaust.com is the same size as the muffler on the 4" end so I had to get some flexpipe and more bandclamps to hook it all together...

Mine originally came from Summit Racing. In the $95 range I think. Now it sits behind the fence........ Aeroturbine got the best of it.

OK, thanks for the tips guys. 36" sounds a little long for the the muffler, so I went and measured my muffler, it is 26". Mine being an 03 make a difference? Or.....

If it is stock it is 38''. That is the muffler and the two stubs that stick out on each end. All part of the muffler. Mine is an 03.

Ok re-measured muffler body is 26''but there is 12'' of pipe all together that is part of the muffler. So if you take the stock muffler away you will have at least 38'' to fill. Can get a longer muffler and cut more pipe out, or a shorter muffler an add more pipe.

OK thanks. I was wondering what you guys were measuring, as I was measuring the body of the muffler, and it came out to 26". I found the Maganflow throught hte links above, and that is the way I am going to go. $100 for a muff ain't bad.
