I used my stock lug nuts. Some guys were running 2 sets of stock doubled up so they didn't have to modify the stock center caps. I just modified my stock center caps.

It appears that the stock lug nut for a steel wheel will not work due to the taper in the lug nut. The H2's have a flat collar and the opening seems to be larger. Are the lug nut different between steel wheels and alumnium.

That's not true. I use the factory lugs for my chrome clad steel wheels to keep my H2's from flying off.

I just put mine on a couple of days ago. I used stock lug nuts and a second set to get the caps on. When you double up the lugs you have to use some lock tight to keep them on. But just buy the weak blue stuff-medium strength. That way they will come off easy with a lug wrench. But they will not back off easy.

My caps have the metal prongs at every lug. These keep the lug nut from turning so I didn't add any locktite.

Yes mine do also. BUT when I found out how much a cap could cost at the dealer. I felt a $10 tube of lock tight would be a good insurance policy. PLus that second set is only holding by a few threads
