has anyone found anything to replace the stock lug nut covers. I think the plastic looks cheesy and the wheel looks way better with the cover removed...but I'd like to put something there to protect everything from the elements, etc.

 

You could just do like member "NRiver" here......and remove the cover altogether. Here he has his lug nuts powdercoated black and spray painted the end of the axle tube. Looks great in my opinion.

I should have the powder coated wheels back soon. I will have those pics up soon as well. It will be Black on Black on Black. All powder coated mirror black.

I do agree, with the stock tires, the covers are out to far. With the 35's they did not look as out of place.

I should be getting mine back from the powdercoater Monday, and hopefully will make the tire swap then. Tentatively, I am going to keep the chrome centers. I like them. The truck will be blacked out other than the chrome centers and the 5'' exhaust tip and a single cummins "C" emblem on the tailgate.

If I don't like the chrome centers, then I may move toward your set up after I see your pics. If I find that I don't like it altogether......im going to find some wheels like the ones in the pic I posted above and go that route. But, I am pretty sure im going to like the Black wheels w/chrome center. I love them on CQuestad's and Bobcat698's trucks.

I will try to take some pics tomorrow after im done, if I can.
