Thanks NR, judging by the tires that was your truck?
What was the difference with the full meal deal?

I'd like to get the Lorenz front leveling kit, but when we go away we pack a lotta stuff then hook up the trailer so it's lower on the rear than the stock front, so was wondering how it would be with the mini packs, the full meal deal, would I still need air bags?

(sorry bout the hi-jack)

Sean's mini-paks preserve the stock load rating. You might invest in some airbags for those few times when you need them.

I have not had a real issue with squat. I typically only tow and don't haul allot in the bed.

The minipacks give good extra shock travel. More importantly better ride.

The full leafs give a great ride and even more shock travel.

My take, if you go to any other rear spring offering and load the bed, get some air bags. Most people running stock rear springs and load the bed allot run air bags. So no real difference.

The great thing about the mini packs or the full leafs, they greatly improve the unloaded ride and make the truck much more fun in the bumps.

Question: I installed the Lorenz 5100 system last weekend and now I have a "clunking" sound. Not all the time. Like when I pull out of my garage and every once in a while when I make a turn.

I double checked the torque on all the bolts, but it still makes the noise.
It didn't make the noise before the lift. It drives Ok.

Was wondering if the "extended sway bar links" might be the problem.

Should the vertical part be perpendicular to the bolt. There is a slight angle to mine?

My links are perpendicular to the bolt, but they angle forward just a hair.

Make sure the track bar bolts are tight, and the control arm bolts if you loosened them.

I didn't loosen the control arm bolts.

I sent an email to Sean Lorenz asking same question.

My links didn't come with the "cone" shaped spacers that are on his website (picture of extended sway bar links).

Hopefully that is the cause. Looking at it from the front, it would seem like there is a slight angle. I think I will go out and put my angle finder on it and check for sure.

I just checked: There is a 6 degree angle off of perpendicular (90 degrees).

my guess, lower shock bolts.

They are harder to get tight than you may think.

Sean Lorenz did return my emails last night, and asked me to double check the lower shock bolts also.

I will do that this evening. I was getting too lazy last night.

Well, I re-torqued (over torqued actually), the lower shock mount bolt. But that didn't help.

I jacked up the driver's side front wheel and the ball joints appear to be ok.

I think it is the unloading and loading of weight on the sway-bar. I'll double check those this weekend.

when you unload the front suspension. Try pushing back and forth on the shock to see if it moves. I used some spacers to close the gap. I have different shocks of course, not sure how tight a fit the 5100s are. The shock mounting area is thick metal and I could not get it to compress enough. If that makes sense. Oh yeah, a spaces is just a washer.
