I need a 6" long 12mm x 1.75mm tap to do my head studs, anyone know where i can find one? also what type of tap do i need to use? straight, tapered, bottoming? I would assume it would be bottoming, but im not sure.

 

do you have a grainger neer you they sell industrial stuff they sell any thing you could possibly need i know for sure they sell that specific long bottoming tap well i just bought a 14mm for a series 60 and the heads are 6" thick and threads are 3" in the deck its a chore on the series 60 cant imagine it being any better on the 5.9 in chassis good luck

 

i guess i could use a tap wrench and the tap to get an overall length of 6". or is there some reason i cant do that?
