Someone a while ago had a link to a new company making replacement bumpers. They were priced pretty decent. IIRC the base bumper was around 750. They looked like road armour or alien patrol.

Ever checked out Ranch Hand? I've had em on 5 trucks in 15 years and they are stout and beautiful. I hit a stopped mazda 626 in my 01' going 45 with my foot on the gas no brakes (at night on hwy...it was stalled with no lights and nobody inside) and i put the trunk in the back seat, the back seat in the front seat and shot it over a hundred yards past when I started braking. I totally destryed the car and all I needed was a little touch up paint. Not proud of the story but I am glad to know that my family is safe from most front collisions. They have a life time powdercoat warranty too. They are also made in the USA right down the street from George Strait and Stone Cold Steve Austin in Kasper, Texas. Check out the Bull Nose or look at my Avitar

look at three new styles especially the bull nose. It looks the most like a road armor style and much stronger due to the round tube. By the way purplezr2, our trucks stock have the mass to kill other people. My point was the saftey of the people in my truck. Even in a stocker that crumbles, our hight and weight transfer more than enough kinetic energy to kill. We all have to drive responsibly almost more so that the pilot of an average passenger car because of all I listed. I also do not think that I got more "g's" than if I would have been stopped faster and than hit an air bag that in my case didn't have to deploy.
