Arrow Airaid Filter ??

I have been reading some post during my search for Delo 400 info stating that S&B, P-G7 and Amsoil nano are the greatest. Also saying that K&N are worthless. I have not read any info supporting or downing the Airaid filter. Curious to know what everyone thinks about it. I have not6iced that it gets a lot dirtier with the K&N oil vs. the original.

I installed an Airaid filter in my truck when first bought and ran it for the first 90K miles before I started modding the truck. It was first rate and all my UOA's came back saying I had excellent filtration (average of 3ppm silicate). When I put on twins and used the AFE pg-5 the filtration results (as measured by silicate in the oil) were poor (went from 3ppm to 13 ppm).

Based on that, I'd opine that Airaid makes a good filter.

I installed my AirAid just after I bought the truck in '04 and I now have 57K. I am always amazed when I open up that dirty old filter to find the intake tube as cleans as it was when new. I would expect to see something to indicate that air had been passing throught there, but there was nothing! I have seen some posts where guys showed some light dusting on their intakes (different brands) after so many miles and it did not alarm them. I would have been looking for a replacement.

I use the K&N cleaner because it is what I had for a gasser I had before the diesel. I have so much of it, I may never buy any AirAid supplies.

Anymore thoughts? Can you run the filter without the oil and still get the same result?

Nope must use oil, the oil stops all the fine dirt from getting through filter.

FWIW, I had a Airraid on mine shortly after I got it.
There is a pic of it in my gallery after 8000 miles.
I have since thrown it away and went with Amsoil nano.
I like it better.
No oiling when time for cleaning.
