Looking for suggestions ....
Hi everyone,
New Cummins owner here, and had a few questions. I am sure that most of these have been answered before, but someone may have had a problem with something I am trying to touch on since the last time the subject was questioned ....
1. While looking at gauges, is a fuel pressure gauge really necessary?
(I am not looking at heavy mods)
2. What are some of the better CAI's to use ?? ... name brand or home made
3. What is a good module to use that wont make the tranny take a dump in the driveway?? (again, not looking for gobs of power, mainly economy, and I have the auto.)
4. Will the modules or programmers leave a trace that the dealer can find? I only have about 16k on my truck, 05 model
I think this will wrap up most of the questions for now ... thanks in advance

A fuel pressure gauge is nice post filter because you can watch fuel filter life as well as your in tank lift pump life. It may save you a CP3.

I used an AFE 2 Megacannon on mine. I wanted something already engineered. I didn't feel I had to try and reinvent the wheel here. Some have made homemade ones and they seem to like them. I would do a search on intakes and see what's out there.

Most use a tow box like Quadzilla or the Edge EZ. They are mild but do seem to net some mileage and increase the power and TQ some.

This is discussed quite a bit. Typically inline modules are not traceable becasue they are signal modifiers. The flash memory programmers are traceable because they store changes in the hard memory of the PCM/ECU, etc. Many will likely have different opinions. Bottom line is if you add any kind of box or programmer, you should be ready to become your own warranty provider.
