Looking for a softer (stock like ride) on my 4.5" Superlift w/ Bilstiens
My truck since lifted has always had a firm, less forgiving feel to it and I'm pretty sure its due to the coil springs because in addition to the Bilstien 5100's I added a set of Fox 2.0 remote reservoir shocks on a TGC mount and that cured the sway and made it handle turns well but still had the same rough ride compared to stock.
Does this sound like a spring issue? I was thinking about throwing a pair of Skyjacker Soft Ride 5" coils under there for $150 and see how that does unless someone out there can recommend a better replacement spring.
I know Carli and Thuren have the best stuff out there but back in 06 when I was shopping for suspension their tallest lifts were only 2.5" and I needed something taller so I kept it on the affordable side and picked up a 4.5" Superlift w/ Bilstiens from Summit Racing for only $1,050 to my door.
I'm not currently in the market for a completely new suspension system as I have other expenses but I just want my 4.5" lift to ride like my buddys stock 03 on 35 MT's w/ 425k on the clock.
Thanks
