looking for feed back on Trinity
I posted this on a couple different forums, so bear with me if you have seen it already thx
Any one have any feedback on the Trinity (T-1000)? seems like a well thought programmer with built in gauges, plus you can use it on any other truck as well, and the going rate is only 600$ (have found it for 550)
I fired off an e-mail to diablo to see if it will work with an EZ, so that you can have some adjustability on the fly.
I was orginally going to get an EJ/A, but from all I've read the predator seems to be the prefered choice on a 3rd gen, I really liked the ability of edge to set parameters. EJ/A is around 1000$ and does not read rail pressure, or tranny temp(at least on the 2 I've seen) or fuel pressure.
Trinity, can read rail and tranny, if I read their info correctly, but cant monitor egt or set safeguards...but for 100$ extra you can add a pyro or fuel pressure sender.
just looking for some real world feed back

I started out with the Predator cuz I already had gauges and didn't need any more then I added a boost fooler and Puck later. I've tried every stack combo and non stack tunes, including custom tunes. The right custom Pred tunes will give all the power you can get out of the stacks but some of them create engine sounds I didn't feel comfortable with. This is my only vehicle and I won't stretch my luck too much. After 4.5 yrs of playing with the stack I've just recently come up with my favorite setup. I run the stack/Extreme tune all the time but with the Puck off. This give LOTS of power if I want it and the best mpg (much better than the 100hp/econ tune if I avoid abusing the power) and the engine sounds as happy as can be. Then, if I want to play, I switch the Puck to 50 and that gives another really nice power boost and the engine still sounds perfectly happy. I don't use the Puck 90 cuz I don't feel the tiny difference between 50 and 90 is worth adding more pressure. I don't like the extremely touchy throttle with the regular Extreme tune for city driving which is mostly what I do but the stack/extreme is tolerable. My mpg is so awesome with stack/extreme I might try towing with it and just watch the egt. Craig
