Looking for Aftermarket bumper

Okay, I have had it. At about 1 a.m. I decided to get some fast food as I was at the end of my 350 miles trip to my dads. I hit a deer within 1/2 mile of my destination. Messed up the sheet steel bumper behind my sport valance. I done some comalong work and got it to dang near mil spec of the original position. Busted fog light, and caused a couple of small cracks at the fog light hole, and on the bottom where the deer rolled under. I hit it on the front driver side of my truck.

I want protection for the future. I know about road armor, and ranch hand, but what else is out there? Thanks for any help.

I like the diamond plate look of my Ranch Hand over the Buckstop personally, but from what I have read and experienced, they are all of good make and quality. Just comes down to your personal choice.

Those are a few links of others I have found in a search. Good luck,

This is not my truck. Im not sure who's it is. I saved these pics awhile back. I really like this bumper. Its made by Layne i think is his name at Denver Offroad. Its aluminum so its not as heavy as some of the other bumpers out there. He doesnt have a website and i dont have his number but if you search you should be able to find it. Edit: I searched alittle and found this number for Layne (970)858-4010 but im not sure if its current. Youd just have to call to find out.

I have a Lonestar bumper. Over the bumper is a nice piece, but they really didn't clean up the metal with an acid wash or anything like that before it was powdercoated. Rust started to come through the finish with a few weeks of owning it.

I had hit a deer last fall. Damage was similar to yours, but also had to replace the radiator. Think it was a bit of a fluke though. The other coolers were fine. Had to replace the gille as well.

I personally like the look of the frontier. I think that the total weight is around 175 pounds and is plenty of protection against deer without the extra weight on the front end like the original ranch hand. Ranch hand also makes one real similar to the frontier called the summit series. It is really preference though. Just trying to throw some ideas out there.

HappyGa,
Where you the one that stirred up the deer on 65 north near Corner this morning. Does where running like crazy, couldn't make up their mind which side to be on, scared me more than them, even had 4-5 jump in front of me near Cane Creek before I-65, and the horn only makes them more crazy. Is somebody putting dearcocain out again. Hunting season is CLOSED... Hey Mr. Game Warden, HELLO.

Get a Reunel. I had one on my 01 Ram. Deer, on coming semis, bridge abutments ect... no problem, you drive away!!! Don't go with a light bumper. If you mean business get a stout bumper, and it will weigh plenty 300lb give er take.
