Line-X quote

My local line-x dealer quoted $575 for an over the rail liner on a short bed. Does this seem high?

Standard Black?

I was quoted here in Reno, NV by the Line-X dealer $385 over the rail, $335 under the rail.

Seems just a tad on the high side. Lots of places will honor an online coupon that is always floating around that I believe was good for 10%

I *WISH* I could get a quote of ~$400 for Line-X. I think my quote around here for over-the-rail on a short bed was almost $700!

I'm a LINE-X dealer.

Dealers' cost increased 1-1-06. So, if you have a quote from before that time, it's probably no longer valid. The east and west coasts will typically be higher than central US, just like everything else. My price (in Texas) is $520.

If you choose LINE-X, ask if your dealer is LINE-X Xtra certified. If so, GET IT! It's a great bang for your buck and highly recommended.

it cost me 425.00 for over the rail/short bed. that was a year ago.even with a "standard" yearly price increase-that price is still too high. shop around.

Line-X seems to be expensive. Must be all the advertising. However, it's supposed to be a good product.

I went to a store called Inyati, here in Phoenix. They use the same "hot, quick drying" method as Line-X. They were the first bedliner company I ever heard of. Started in So. Africa lining mining buckets & equipment.

I went into the store & asked the owner when they were going to have another show special. He gave me a coupon & said it was good for whenever I wanted to use it. Cost me $300.00, over the rail & 8' bed.

They did a beautiful job, made some great suggestions & I couldn't be happier with their workmanship.

Yes, they are, and for several reasons. First, the product: Bedliners are not the same, some are 100% polyurethane, some are 100% polyurea, some are blends of both polyurethane and polyurea, some are solvent based products (more like paints). Some of these components cost more, others less. Second, quality of chemicals: You can buy a $69 paint job for your truck or you can spend $3,000. Big cost difference both they're both paint jobs. Bedliner chemicals come from different places. High quality chemicals come from Dow, BASF, etc. Low quality chemicals come from over seas and they come in unmarked barrels (I've seen them!) LINE-X uses BASF for their raw materials (and LINE-X is the second largest user of the raw materials right behind Spandex).
