Lift Help...?

So i'm looking at picking up a lift. Problem is I dont know whats good or bad (companys). I had a fabtech in my last truck and that was pretty good. It rode ok down the road and performed off road well. I had bilsteins all around and air lift bags... But that was an 05 chev ifs...

I've been doing some looking and like the KORE HP series, Lorenz Bilstein 5100 Series, and Carli Bilstein 2.65 or Starter System. Now what I really want is, a better ride, street perf, and larger tires. I dont plan on taking it offroad at all as I have a purpose built XJ.

What do you guys think?? How "complete" are each of these kits? Will I need additional parts or will they come with everything? How much taller will they be, if any, than just the level kit? Do I still NEED to get the adjustable track bar? thanks

I just finished taking off my Kore Recon, wasn't impressed with the ride at all no better then stock, the hype from Kore didn't make my truck ride better Shocks, track bar, and steering stabilizer are the most important parts and as long as they are good the truck should ride/handle pretty good. I've heard Lorenz and Carli ride better on the street then Kore, I would sure how hope with the price tag of them all. Better off to buy something like Fabtech and spend the extra money on track bar and steering stabilizer IMO.

I've had a Skyjacker on my last truck, dealt with Pro Comp Trailmaster etc they are all pretty much the same, lower end companies seem to lack decent instructions but who uses them anyways?

It all depends on how big of a lift you want. I have a KORE race series, but I love the ride of mine, definately better than stock. But if i did it all over again I probably would go Carli or Thuren Fabrication. If your just wanting 2.5" to 3" of lift I would go with a combo of Carli and Thuren. If your looking for more go with superlift, bilstein shocks and get carli endlinks and either thuren or carli's track bar.

I have a standard BDS kit and I love it. It rides a little better than stock, but around turns it's a little bit sloppy. Wish it was a little stiffer. I'm happy with my 6" kit

I loved my Skyjacker on my old truck the ride was a little rough but a good kit for the price. I put almost 60k mi on it with some heavy offroad and it lasted just fine nothing ever broke

Make sure you use quality components, like a good adjustable track bar:

why not get some bilsteins and a set of Thurens Coils cut to your liking for however big you want your truck. Then just get adj. trac bar, Endlinks, steering stabilizer, and a set of rear leafs.

The Carli performance 2.0 system is the smoothest I have driven for the street/mild off roading trucks.Great smooth ride on the street but will still be a good gain in the dirt as long as you control your speed a bit.
