If you want the same as BMW you will want 4300k.

No offense, if you switched to the PIAA Extreme Hyperwhite bulbs and noticed no difference, you, my friend, are blind. I've seen them from a distance (over a quarter of a mile) and they are the closest I've seen to HIDs. I for one can't tolerate yellow lights.

KEY: No Offense!

no offence taken
but what people don't understand is a piaa bulb is still a incandcent lamp and they will never give you a true white as with a a true hid a 6000k

anything over 6000 turns blue and anything under 6000 is getting into the yellow rendition

piaa incandcents(or any other incandecent for that matter) will never be a true white like hid's technically impossible....

I totally agree, I just cant' justify having HIDs, but I am satisfied with my PIAAs. May not be HIDs, but they are much better than the stockers.

A question for those of you with the HID in the projector style headlights. How is the cut off line, and does it seem to scatter the light? Other drivers have issues with the intensity?

I have the HD in the OEM fogs and are completely amazed and convinced that this is the way to go. Not one person/car that I have come across has flashed me, compared to the OEM I was getting flashed on a nightly basis. Odd.

the cheap ebay projectors provide little to no light with standard halogen bulbs in them. I was not impressed with the fitment or the quality of these lights. I don't know where you can get good projectors for our trucks.

My buddy and I run a speed shop and can get HID's for $200 per set with 3 year waranty on balast and bulb (unlike the ebay waranty). I have a set of the 10,000K's in my toyota camry and absolutly love them! I will never own another vehicle with out them. Deer and other animal eyes just light up off in the fields while driving down the road. I think it is a saftey issue and that is why i will never own a vehicle with out them.
