Leaking valve cover

Any of you guys got a leaking valve cover? I was changin my oil out last night (to royal purple) and also swappin my belt and I notices some "moister" coming out right above my injectors. It isnt so much of a leakage as a seepage but the truck only has 37,1?? miles on it. And until last night I have ran nothing but Delo 400 15/40. Any thoughts? I got a pic of it in my phone too if it makes a differance.

Thanks

is it a damp spot w/ dirt stuck on it? not actually a stream or anything?

mine had it and it didnt seem like a major problem, not losing oil on the stick so.....? maybe its run off from when you changed it last?

Run off is possible but HIGHLY unlikely. It is coming out from under the vc.

Yes it is a damp spot with dirt on it. I talked with a friend of mine that has delt with cummins motors longer than I, and he said it is normal, but I was wonderin how common.

Even the this seepage and my turbo leaking oil I never got below full on my dip stick on 7,000 miles.

Yeah, pretty common. Mine seeps on the pass side rear of valve cover. Never enough to lose oil on the dipstick, but its there. Dirty little oil spot. If it bothers you, I believe gaskets are covered under warantee.

Mines on the driverside and closer to the front of the motor. I will keep an eye on it but I guess I will just put on new gaskets when I stud it.

Mine too, vc passenger rear!! I took it to the dealership in march of this year. They said they replaced the vc gasket, well, took it back in today for the same thing and also to get the blend door replaced in the vent. I pulled the blower motor out and found the blend door just laying up inside there. About 1/3 of it looked like it was chewed on.
I'm a little worried today though, the tech told me that the oil was blowby and normal for a diesel. He then said he would put my truck up on the lift to show me. I asked him, "why put it on the lift?" The vc is on top of the motor . He then came back and told me that he ordered a new vc and vc gasket. This will be their second attempt at this, maybe they'll fix it this time.
