Either a well designed set of twins would have minimal lag or a big ol' snort of nitrous would do away with the lag.

There has been talk of a supercharger in line with your turbo that could take care of it also. It is just the nature of the beast. Big turbos have lag.

WOW a 6 inch super lift & lag ? I bet ya run 37s with that combo ?

265s are best for no lag

IMO any tire bigger then a 285/70/17 helps to create excess lag even with a small set of twins

Desertchecker is exactly right. I have noticed a difference from my larger tires, 35's going down to 31.5. (Im back to 34's now) Sound like BS, but its the truth. I noticed a difference.

In honest Kyle you I have seen you have been asking alot of questions on here so I thought I would throw in my 2cents to help you out a bit. For your truck it sounds like your headed in the right direction but need to change a few things up. First you don't have a good fuel system in your setup so I would advise getting a Airdo or FASS or something because I doubt you are getting all the fuel you are needing right now with the stock one. Crazzy larry alone is draining your fuel down. Also what kind of injectors are you running? DDP, don, Scheid, II???. I would ditch the propane to and go with something else maybe nitrous or something other. I am just personally not a big fan of Propane and if You plan on pulling ditch both. Then the money you get from selling the propane call a good tranny builder. That will be night and day difference. If you plan on pulling alot go with billet shafts. I also seen you are wanting to spin big rpms so I would also get some springs and even if your not spinning big rpms I would go with some springs as they are save insurance when you are in high Rpms and high boost. The stock cp3 is also is probably cuting you back to if you have at least 100hp injectors.

I agree with everything said - except for the fact that any of them are going to help reduce turbo lag.

Oh yeah
1. Get another turbo
2. Cam
3. fog the crap out of it

I didn't think a 64mm would lag that bad? Shouldn't be nothing that would hold you back for street driving?

With the 64mm turbo you're running I would say dump in more fuel. I believe that there is a option on BD to enable low end torque. That should help.

thanks for your opinion, im new to the 3rd generation trucks. i had a 99 for years and i have worked mostly on the 12 valve though. i thought i would never own a 03 or newer but i needed a new truck about 1-1/2 yrs ago, and it was the first one i drove and i liked it. it is also my first automatic. so any advise on this truck, i can use it. the fuel system and the proggrammer compared to the 2nd gen is totally different and im trying to learn. also you asked about injector, im not sure what they are cause they were put in before i bought it and the dealer wasnt sure i guess i will find out. thanks- kyle

AS for your lag when I went from a Htt SledPuller 66/65/12 to my Pro Street 66/71/16stainless I thought man this thing is a dog,and I'm running quite a bit of fuel. Then I changed the exhaust manifold, innercooler and intake horn, and wow the lag was basically all gone, turbo is very streetable and really no smoke with BD on tow and tst on 1/0. I can't really narrow it down cause I usually do alot at once not really one thing at a time but hope this helps. Oh yah cam, cam, cam is a must.

Just get a trans and a Smarty, problem solved. I'm surprised with sticks and a 64 class turbo your having spool problems.

No such thing on diesel truck......But then a high performance gas motor only gets 4 miles per gallon.

The best you'll do is a small set of twins like BD's R-700 set.

A looser converter can help with street manors, but if you have big power you'll blow your tires off as soon as it lites.

The cam helps quite a bit.

For anything with a turbo lag is just the nature of the beast. What your asking is simply not possible unless you have unlimited amounts of cash
