KORE now has competition!!!! A good thing.....
For you guys that are singing the virtues of KORE, let me say that it is good stuff. But.....it's waaay overpriced, and KORE knows it.
If you'll notice with the all new version Chase series, they no longer include the billet shock towers or billet sway bar blocks. It looks like one of the reasons he's doing this is to lower the price in order to be more in line with his new competition that's quicky knocking on KORE's door, ie. Carli's suspension and Lorenz.
Sage Carli is just now getting his suspension on the market, and it costs considerably less than KORE. Basically you get a suspension package that's in the same league as the KORE Race system (some will argue), for the cost of the older Chase system (with shock towers). Carli is using King 2.5" shocks and Deaver spring packs.
Sean Lorenz product should be looked at as well, he's been doing extensive testing and his product is just too cheap right now for what it is.
And don't fool yourself into thinking that KORE used an off the shelf Race system to take 3rd at Baja. That didn't happen, and his distributor told me that, face to face. It was modified.
Not bad-mouthing KORE, just saying they're over-priced, no matter how it's broken down, and there are some serious contenders worthy of consideration for your Dodge.

There will probably be many people to give their hand a try at selling a kit for less money but I would be weary of the quality. I remember being told that the fox shocks with the race system cost $500 a peice, or atleast thats what I was told and arent most of the other components made from 6061 aluminum? If they are that is alot for bare materials alone. I am also wondering what exactly was changed from the race system. I know they told me that was the same system they used to race baja with. Could be a farse but then again they may have just changed the valving or something. I am glad to see more come avaliable and I will be looking into carli's system since this is the first I have heard of it. How do you like the chase by the way? Was price your main concern when you selected it over the race system? Just wondering as I am making some of these decisions for myself right now.
Tristan,
I was prepared to get the Race, but Kroeker talked me into the Chase, because he thought it would suit my needs more. I won't be thrashing Baja, just want something that I can do some REAL 4-wheelin in, as opposed to the run-of-the-mill lift companies lame offerings. You know, the ones that come complete with generic $5 shocks that roll off the same assembly line, and merely have a different colored sticker attached to the shock body that will rust in 2-3 months.
Carli used to be one of KORE's retailers, until the last 4-5 months anyway, and possibly his his TOP installer.... until he decided he was going to develop and market his own suspension. He helped in the development/installation of the KORE stuff, even when they were known as T-Rex.
KORE is truly good stuff, just like most people will attest to, but they're no longer the ONLY high-end Dodge suspension guys.
Check out the thread on the TDR about the guy that just installed his Lorenz suspension. He just posted it today. Good reading.

Attached is a link about the race truck for what it is worth.

I've had a Kore Chase system on my '99 for two+ years now. Kent suggested that with my 1800lb. popup a Chase setup would suffice. After installation which included mini-paks the truck dropped a good 1 1/2" in the rear and bottomed out everywhere I went. My camper had been on 24/7 for years and I feel that fatigued springs contributed to my problems with the mini-paks. A trip to Deaver Springs resulted in removal of mini-paks(probably for future use without camper) and re-installation of overload spring and an add-a-leaf. KORE offered to re-valve for free the rear shocks but I lived with it until receiving a P.M. from Sean Lorenz offering his hand at revalving the rear shocks. I took him up on the offer since he lives here in San Diego and a little more than an hour later they were done. The revalving is easy, the R&D is the tricky part. The truck now handles competently. Sean Lorenz,Sage Carli and Kent Kroeker all produce some great products. Competition equals a more thoroughly researched and affordable product.
Hmmm....I wonder if Lorenz might be able to help me with my "slight" KORE problem. I need a little more lift in the front. I ordered some pre-painted ATS fender flares, and I can't install them because the tire will not only rub, but will rip the flare off altogether. So....I've got set of of flame red flares sititng in a box, and they need to be on my truck to help protect the truck form rocks and debris.
Did I just hijack my own thread?

I'll be the first to say it, Kent doesn't care for me and I don't really care for him. And it has nothing to do with his product or price. There's a lot about KORE that most people do not know. I'm not going to open myself up to a potential lawsuit, so if you don't know the REAL story behind KORE you owe it to yourself to find out. I will NEVER do business with KORE and that's based on FACTS, not speculation.
Sage Carli (Carli Suspension) offers a product that is as good or better than KORE's. The original designer (and it's not Kent) of the KORE kit worked extensively with Sage on the new "Carli" kit and improvements have been made over the original designs. Anybody that is shopping for a true performance kit for their Ram should look at both products (Carli & KORE) and then make their decision based on the facts, not the hype.

Websites??
Can anyone post (or PM me if posting is not allowed) the websites to both Lorenz's and Carli's websites? I fall into the group of people where money is an object, and I'd like to research some other options besides KORE. I like everything I've read about the KORE suspension except the price tag
. Thanks Guys!!

I didn't know Carli had went with Defiant as his website. Does that have something to do with someone doing underhanded dirty deeds and buying up domain names?
Here's the one for Lorenz.

DirtEater = Bingo. On a side note, I offered to help "rectify" this situation and Sage / Paul / Defiant didn't want to play dirty pool. Class acts. If it were me, I'd get a few of my Samoan friends and pay a visit to the wrongful owner of the domain names...
Regarding the steering stabilizer. Running one single pressurized cylinder will always cause the steering to drift to one direction or the other (depending on the cylinder mounting direction). That's why on a properly designed steering stabilizer system, at least those that use PRESSURIZED cylinders, there will be two shocks that are installed so that they cancel the effects of each other out. Off-road it's not that big of a deal, on the street, it can be. The truck will always want to turn if you let go of the wheel.
