kmc wheels

Thanks for the pics.
What i am looking for is a set wheels in 22 inch with a road tyre ,cause i never go off road here .
like a 305/50 0r a 325/50
If it will not fit my truck ,I will take a set 20 inch with 305/50 or 325/50
My truck is not raised, just stock 4x4 2500
But hey a SRT10 has 22 inch ,so it should fit my truck too ?

ahhh you took my idea I had 2 weeks ago right out of my head or you read my post refeering the same set up to another guy with a biege CTD.

I would love to trun my truck into a sweet 4x4 street machine.

Im talking about going for a SRT-10 look/ version of a 4x4 CTD.

So ill break it down for ya.

My truck is Silver

20-22" Rockstars
2" lower then stock hieght cant go lower because of front axle, do a search...lots of info
SRT=10 front bumper but cut that lame 2" lower chin part off.
Smoke all lights
GDP Ladderbars....sick!!!

Unfortunatly there isnt a real cheap or easy way to lower a 4X4 CTD the right way. I saw the Kelderman air ride kit that will lower 1" and I think you can modify it to do a little bit more but its a big kit and alot of $$$. Best alternitive is to remove the rear block and get the specs off your front coils and have a set of custom 2" lower sprigs and a set of nice bump stops like these neat rubber air bumps that I saw on POR.

Last and I hate to say it but I think its nessacary is a single 6" stack through the bed so there no confusing it for a gasser.

Another option that I think would look even better would be to turn the black Rockstars until Black Chrome Rockstars!!!!!

Well I think I hooked you up with a killer look, and let me know if you have anymore question or ideas.

I wish I could make $$$ desiging cars/truck like real world auto designers that work on Sema type stuff.

wheels kmc

Thanks Little Dan

What I like to do is ,keep the height the same, and with black rockstars 22 inch(I can,t go with chrome cause they use salt for the roads ,It already cost me a set 20 inch onto my formal truck)

What sort tyres are you using?
I was thinking 305 /22 /50 would be the best ,my formal truck has 325/20/50 but it was a pain to drive in the rain.
I really like that look from the srt 10 ,and funny enough I was also thinking about a front spoiler from a srt 10 ,or a srt 10 look.

Does it hurt comfort on this truck?

thanks for info

Is it possible I could see a pic ?

thanks A.J

I have been looking at these KMC rockstar wheels for a while now. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on some 20s as well. I have not heard of anyone having a bad experience with any type of quality or workmanship. looks like the only thing holding me back is money, or lack thereof really

But hopefully about Feb. I will be getting mine

A.J here is something to think about as far as I know the black rockstars are just painted wheels like the Hoss so I have a feeling salt will eat those up to. I have 20's on mine with the smaller toyo I think is 305/55/20 and I had to put a lift on I still get some rubbing in the front when cranked all the way and backing out of the driveway. Hope that helps good luck.

Megacap,I had that on my F 250 ,if fully steering in or out ,the tyre was rubbing the leaf spring.
Where is yours rubbing ?
Can
I see a picture from your wheels on your truck?
I want to know if the wheels are not sticking out of the fender,I like it if the wheel sits a little inside .
So I,m better off with 20 inch?
I do not want to raise my truck, but can it drive and steer if I leave it stock?

thanks A.J

AJ just click on my screename and it will show member photo gallery when you go to my profile page. I dont know how to post pics on here. They rub on the black rubber that comes off the bumper remember I got a 6 inch lift I couldnt imagine not having a lift how bad it would rub.

I still like the look of the srt 10 ,with the rims a little inside the fenders .
I hope they make them with such an offset,as I don,t see them on a 4x4 ctd
The ones with 20 inch or bigger are all sitting a little (1-2 inch) outside the fenders.

My formal 20 inchers on my F 250 were chrome, but it chipped off because off the salt .
I let the chrome company dechrome my rims ,and powdercoat them silver ,I saw no chipping at all after wintertime, they looked great.
