Just installed my ANVIL train horns (pics)

We looked at many different spots and the spare tire hole was my favorite. Enough room and plus it shows slightly from the rear which IMO looks preatty bad A$$.

The pan I painted with BLACK RUSTOLEUM (which is slowly starting to fade and is extremely hard to notice unless you are up-close checking it out since I shouldve used high-temp paint which ill have to re-do again) Pretty much just sand all the rust off and paint black over it. Looks good and I recieved nothing but compliments and the just painted the stock bolts chrome. So far everything is holding up good aside from using the wrong paint for the diff

they're definetly loud, however I think I might upgrade to the loudest ones they offer which are even louder than the ANVIL, the KONG II:

did you hook it up to the factory wire, so when you hit the button on the steering wheel, it sets them off?

just wondering

I hope those are louder than mine, I just installed the HAMMER4's and I am really not impressed. I am hoping that I can bump up the PSI and get some more sound, but if I had it to do again I wouldn't have gotten these... AND that little compressor is WAY to loud, I put mine inside the front fenderwell and that makes it echo even more in that little area... I'm not dumping on Seige Eng for the unit cause I feel I probably got what I paid for, I was just hoping for a little more...

these are much louder than hammer 4, I called and asked and they said ANVIL is much louder which I thought I was going to be completely happy with, which I am but I still want louder and I think Ill get the KONG II, let me know if you want to buy the ANVIL from me, Its literally 3 days old. I definetly agree with the air compressor, super loud and annoying, I have the 5liter and I think im going to have to get the 3 gal, b/c the 5 liter only can power the ANVIL at full thrust for about 3 seconds and then the loudness goes away and the super loud compressor kicks in and now for some reason everytime I start the car, the compressor kicks in, so now I have a tiny leak somewhere which I have NO clue where since I checked everywhere.

facing down = the loudest

Facing them down blow's to the ground (earth) and bounces back up

Looks nice! Only one thing I see wrong if I'm seeing correctly. Your sloenoid is mounted upside down. Usually people do that because the air flow direction is convenient for their installation(inlet outlet direction), but sometimes you just have to loop the hose around. The reason I'm saying this is because the solenoid relies somewhat on gravity to let it fall closed when you're done honking. Maybe not when it's brand new, but one day soon you'll honk at someone and it won't close back and you'll empty your whole tank on them. Otherwise looks great and nice truck!

if you want "real train horns", get the Nathan airchime/Nathan air horn

they have sound clips on here.http://www.hornblasters.com/audio
but they are what really comes on trains
hold on to your wallet tho
