I would, i have the bullydog and wish i could get the smarty. I also payed $200 for mine so im not complaining. There is a forum on here about the smarty coming out with a new race tune, 230 HP if im not mistaken, that is the same as the bullydog crazy lary

This dosent ever matter much anymore, crazy larry is no longer offered unless you pay extra. So if you update your BDDL Crazy Larry is gone. With that said smarty makes more power and gives you more options. Not to mention its worth more $

If the triple dog already has CL then the new policy doesn't apply. Also they still don't have shift on the fly. While you pull over to load your smarty race program, I'll be miles away setting mine back to a lower smoke program without missing a beat. Don't get me wrong I'm sure the Smarty is a great programmer but for those of us that don't care about being "dealer detectable" I'll stick with the TD. Now a Smarty with "on the fly" I may have to try one.

I currently own both, and they are both great programmers, but before you commit to a trade you should try the SmartyCR to see if it suits you. I personally prefer Crazy Larry 2.4.1 (R.I.P.) for a couple of reasons, but the latest SmartyCR offering makes it a close second place.

Good Luck!

This is a no brainer DO IT! I ran both at track same day an the Smarty was 7 tenths faster than the BDTD with a race tune. You can't go wrong if for some reason you didn't like the Smarty which is very unlikely you could sell it for $500 easy and pick up another TD for $250-300. As for adjustable on the fly feature that would be nice but I run my Smarty on 5 which is just as fast as TD on CL. How about this if you prefer the TD after you trade for Smarty I'll trade you a NEW TD heads up for your used Smarty so you can't go wrong.

Do it and like XtremeFlow said if you don't like it you can sell it for $500 with out a problem. I have a Smarty and everytime I drve my truck it puts a big smile on my face..
