03/04 California (and four other states) have a cat on the 235hp model. I have one.

There are also 250 hp SO's and 305 hp HO's. These do not have cats.

Yep, I can assure you the 2004 CA has it as I just put the one they cut off my truck in the garage. The cat that came off my truck looked very restrictive to me just like the one put on gassers. One more thing that may interest those with early 2004 trucks is the inlet from the down pipe and outlet to the muffler measures 3-1/4"

I bought my Silverline today...ripped out the old system from turbo back using the new sawsall I also picked up this morning. About a half hour ago I started hanging the new stuff - muffler and tail pipe fit fine, and with a little reforming, the extensions looked to fit ok. Then I went to hang the new down pipe. Got it up in there, and thought something looked funny - oh, the band clamp. Stuck it up there and it still looked funny. The flange on the new down pipe was about 1/2" dia smaller than the cast elbow flange! Aggggghhhhhhh!
I looked across at my former artwork (the saw cut between the kitty and the old down pipe), and of course its too short now to be salvaged.
I dont know if the shop sold me the wrong kit, but its obviously for an 03-04. The shop is @20 miles from me, I have no other vehicle right now, as the DW is two states East. Hmmmmmm, why does this always seem to happen......

Anyone have a good solution?
