I called the number on his website but it is out of service....I just got a P1740 code and want to talk about with him. Anyone know where he's hiding these days? Yep, sent an email no response yet.

Haha,I just got the code with my DTT too,its because the computer think the TC does not lock when it really is,it happens because lots of city driving or driving at low speeds,just clear it and go.

He should still be doing lots of business in dallas....I had my tranny fixed up last January by him and i have talked to him since but everything is great with my truck love his work...

 

Mine has never thrown that code before and I lock up the TC manually all the time. Are you using that DTT Shift Enhancer box?

 

I haven't had a chance to put the enhanser in yet. I just moved back to Texas (by God!)so I have more resources at hand to get it in. This was the first time I have seen the code as well. In fact, my little brother was borrowing the truck and forget to put it in tow/haul. Thanks for the help btw.

No,my truck will not accept the enhancer,its still a mystery,DTT said im the 2nd 06 that will not accept it without a check engine light. Am I missing lots without the shift enhancer?

 

I haven't had the chance to try the Shift Enhancer. I just thought that maybe it was causing your codes, but I guess not.

 

That code appears on some trucks. It popped up acouple of times when I installed my T/C and V/B. It went away after clearing it a few times.
