medium duty under 26k gvw yes
Original Jake Brake with the rapping sound like a semi = not happenin. the head design does not permit. Class 8 trucks have actual jake heads on top of the rocker boxes which actuate the system.

Hey its better than nothing! Every exhaust brake I've seen is regulated to less than 60 psi back pressure. If you consider the compression pressure generated by the engine and the pressure generated by combustion you'll realize that the pressure generated by the exhaust brake is nothing.
So if they don't have actual retarding HP what do they have?

the one on my 6.7 works really well.........hell , even too good sometimes........have to give it fuel sometimes , cause it slows too much.....so to whoever said they dont work well.......I say WRONG!!!!!!!!!
