I love my Triple Dog. The smarty is a hit and miss. So many people hate them, and so many people love them. If you ask Luken he will tell you that the smarty completely screwed his truck up. Ask 973604x4 and he will tell you that it screwed his truck up. Ask the 2 previous posters and they will tell you they love them.

Thing is for moderate power the bullydog is much more drivable. Smarty is barely drivable with touchy throttle and so much smoke

I do alot of highway driving and want something that may increase my MPG but also be there when I want to play. I have been told that BDTD is perfect for me. I think I am also going to put a performance muffler and a 5" tip on my truck tomorrow too. What do the 06's sound like with different exhaust options? I haven't heard or seen one yet.

I have nothing but good things to say about my BD. It realy woke up my engine, I drive it everyday through the cities & on the freeway. It is still very much driveable and if you want to fell the need for speed, apply a little pressue to your right leg. If your a fan of smoke that's pretty easy to obtain, even on the tow/economy mode.

I guess i've realy only heard one gripe, people claim they have issues with their customer service, I on the other hand have been delt with them & have no issues. I guess it is hit an miss.

It does appear that discussions and opinions about downloaders is sort of like discussing politics.

The Triple Dog has been easy and trouble free for me. 1 year and 30,000 miles later....no complaints. You need guages with anything that increases power! And guages are a must have just haulin' stock
Cheers
Mike

Well, I was thinking fo getting a Bully Dog. Then I decided to go with a Van Aaken C3.2. I'll install it tomorrow and hope I like it!

I bet you'll like whatever you buy. More than likely, your truck will be faster with any programmer/module.

I am planning on leaving my truck on performance. I don't think I will need the gauges or monitor. As much highway driving as I do the MPG is needed too. I won't be using the extreme at all or the crazy larry download. My dad has a ford f250 with the diablo sport predator programmer and he has his on performance (65 HP ) without any gauges and he hasn't had a bit of trouble.

I've had mine for 2 months and have been itching to get something. My previous truck was an 02 chevy duramax with edge module in it and that thing would run and puff some black smoke. I didn't use it much but I miss it in my dodge .

Yeah, my dad and brother have the Diablo, and they both like it. I have the Triple Dog, and theres a very noticable difference in the power. I can smoke them with just the performance setting. The thing with the Bully Dog is that it can grow with your truck, the more mods you do. And, you can always upgrade it online, not by sending it off. I have never had 1 problem, it has always worked great. Just remember, if you don't like it you can always sell it to any of the BIG THREE, it works with all of them.
