Looking for some input from those who have installed one of these units on a 2006. I went to the ignition switch and found a black/gray trace, 16(?) ga wire that is hot with the key off. This doesn't fit the description I've got from a search of the forum or the place where I bought it. I'm not seeing a big, red wire in the bundle. Just want to make sure I'm headed in the right direction before moving on.

Thanks for the link. Appreciate you taking the time to post it. I did find some info when doing a search on the forum but nothing specific to a 2006.

Still not having much luck. Found the unswitched power wire-no problem. Not having much luck finding the ignition wire. I uncovered the steering column and checked the wires at the ignition switch. I'm a little tentative with this method of finding the wires. Doesn't seem right poking around like that on a $40K truck full of electronics! I gave David at DM a call the other morning and thinking I'll have to make another in the morning.
