interesting dyno nubers

i thought they were kinda low, i have an 03 with custom intake, cut off exhaust, the bully dog, and a fass system. on stock it made 275/505 on performace it made 353/635 on crazy larry it made 357/364 my boost is at 24lbs, these nubers seem low to me but what do i know... what is anybody else seeing with same set up?

I am old school (2nd Gen) my numbers are below. The first time I had a dyno I was surprised too. It just made me spend more money.

It all depends on what dyno you were on. I dynoed at 416/853 on a mustang and there are people with similar mods who dynoed on a dynojet that hit over 500. Your boost is a little low not bad maybe there is a boost leak I dont know thats kinda wierd. maybe its time to bye a smarty

I thought mustang dynos were on the high side and dynojet were more realistic?

First I did not think the Crazy Larry worked as Crazy Larry on 305/555 engines. From what I have read it will be the same as normal Extreme program. Maybe BD has changed that since I sold mine.

Hard to build normal loaded boost on a dyno, especially a DynoJet. From what I know your 24psi boost is somewhat normal for a stock 305/555. Once again I don't have one so just going from what I have seen on others.

Just my .02.

You are correct. Crazy Larry doesn't exist on 03-04's. It says so on the Triple Dog, but it loads the regular Extreme program.

My little bothers truck only went 358 and 716 on a mustang with a tst and mp-8. But we found out that in the hurry to get a gdp pump and all the boxes installed we forgot to ground the tst. Needless to say it goes way faster when everything is hooked up right!

youre gonna need stacked fueling mods and a turbo to get 500 or more. or injectors in the mix with hard fueling a turbo. 500 isnt easy to come by. it does depend on the dyno. I dynoed 461 on a load cell dynojet with only the smarty but thats on an 06. you should get more parts and maybe try another dyno. guys say the mustang dynos are hard to get the good numbers on.

The stock fuel pump on an 03 sucks too!! I dynod my 03 w/ a Quad race/VA C3.2 and only made 341hp/714tq. That was with a FASS on it too. It took a TST,EZ,HTB2 turbo, and 40hp injectors to get my 03 to 500hp.
I just made 452hp/870tq with my current truck w/ only a Predator and my HTB2. I still have the stock injectors, CP3, and LP which doesn't pull down any lower that 4-5 psi on a hard pull too. Plus my temps never go above 1200 degrees. I think I may have the perfect combination here.........

To give you an idea of how accurate dynos are...

I only hit ~400hp on a Mustang here in town that is known for being extra stingy.

A week or two later (with exact same mods) I hit ~555hp on a Dynocom.

Hard to have any confidence in dyno numbers after that fiasco.

With only 24psi that tells me you have the stock boost elbow. Get an adjustable one so you can increase the boost.
I'm not sure but I believe the Bullydog doesn't do boost fooling, so think about getting a boost fooler that available here at the DTR store.
