Does the factory unit do a decent job of filtering? My last Ford had a poorly designed air filter assembly from the factory, that was solved with the AIS/Donaldson filter kit. Is there something comparable offered for the 5.9. I don't want a Tymar open element style or an oiled filter. What has worked for you? Thanks

 

I am very happy with my workhorse.

I also had the true flow on my hemi.

Both were good intakes.

You may want to look into the AFE II.

 

From my perspective, AFE gets all the props around here, followed by a DIY style(BHAF,*****'s Whistler) I have heard good things about most except K&N, but some people like them. If you dont mind spending the money, get the AFE, thats what I am going to get, when I get the money.
