Stock600, yours left early Thursday morning from ID, kinda surprised you didnt get it, actually.

CFM should hold up pretty well over time, but it won't hold up to a nitrous backfire as well as an aluminum unit would. We have thermoplastic manifolds that were about the same thickness (factory BMW pieces) that are fine after 15 years.
As for seat of the pants...that's why we own a dyno. Too many people say things make power and you can "feel" it, but numbers don't lie.

it seems that a mod that many have had for some time and have reported back that gains are minimal but noticeable, has now turned into the latest must have, in a few short days. now, all of the sudden, people who once said that their performance gains were marginal at best, are saying it's the best mod they've ever done. pretty funny...

All of the early reports I read about the redesigned intakes were "impressions" and that is why I never considered purchasing one. Erik put three on a dyno and measured the difference compared with the stock piece and showed there were gains to be had. I wish he had gone a step further and included the Banks piece. Oh well.

Erik said he would call me Wed or Thur for payment info and ship Friday. I wonder how long it would take to get from Dublin to Phoenix. I looks like I didn't make it on the last batch he had.

Ron,

Should be shipping from the TX warehouse if we are lucky, so should just be a day or two tops. I am trying to dropship either from my warehouse supplier or the manufacturer depending on where folks live, so that we can keep the cost and shipping time down.

Quick question

Were the dyno runs done with the grid heaters in place?

The first post says all runs were made with "WINspeed heater grid delete."

Yup WINspeed delete in place. I have those for sale also, let me know. We will be doing some testing on them by themselves as soon as I can find a stock truck!

Supposedly they are good for 7-15, but I don't have data on that yet. It made 17 on Adam's crazy truck, but 902HP is hardly a standard data point!

Also, if you have never seen a grid off the truck, they are CRAZY restrictive. So the grid has to be good for something. And FYI, my truck starts with the first turn of the key even at 26 degrees. If you are hitting 0 on a regular basis, you probably dont want to go that way

Any body running grid delete in the northeast . Do you think it will still start at 10 below? Without being plugged in?

I live in Seattle but am in the mountains quite a bit, do I need to keep the heater grid or should I go with the WINspeed heater grid delete?
Does the grid just heat up the intake, is that the only purpose? So if the truck is too cold it won't start? I guess, I'm not totally sure what the OEM heater grid does?
