Let's not de-focus this thread with the Grid Deletes. They are cool, and EASY HP if you can live without the heater, but let's fire up another thread as we do some dyno testing

wow, that grid looks VERY restrictive. im wondering if most of the power gain came from deleting it?

im also wondering if anyone has ever modded the stock grid w/ a tig and a dremel? i bet you could also use one of those bolt holes to tap for a boost fitting....

The only problem with that is the stock heater is not cheap so cutting it up would not be my first choice. The replacements are pretty cheap (less than $80 i think) so it seems like a easy choice to me.

I know Adam at WINspeed had a couple he fabricated with NOS spray bar. I dont know if he has any ready to sell but i saw the prototype and was way cool looking.

Im wondering how much wiring or wire deleting is ness. to install the spacer with intention of replacing back to stock at winter time? The spacer does look good, didnt know the grid was so restricting. I think Erik said he would later test with and w/o, i think i remember that, it would be nice to see the numbers on just that alone.

I know Adam dynoed on his 01 and saw a peak gain of 17 HP.

I removed all the wireing and saved in a box if i want to re install.

The removal and install took about 15 min's

I just took off the two large leads from the grid and the solenoids and put them in a box like Jason. We will be testing a stock 6-speed truck next week with and without (no other mods)
