how about fuel mileage? If it lowers egts, smooths throttle response, add hp/tq and bumps mileage up 1-2 mpg it would be worth the $300-350 to me

My mpg is up a few tenths if I use it right and not just to have more fun. CTD nut - send me your e-mail and I'll try to get pics to you in the near future. Craig

I agree....that being said, dyno results help motivate...i did a search on cfm and there's a few other posts with dyno results as well....might have been on tdr also....for me, it's still behind the fuel pump on the list of goodies....but i think it's now made the list...

Excellent post with great test results. It's awesome having such strong members here that go the extra mile. This is the greatest site.

knowing the crew on DTR, the mod might have been poo poo'd just because Banks was one of the few companies that had it

But the stock air horn is extremely restrictive, it makes me cringe everytime I look at it.

Great thread.

Thanks for taking the time to post this.

I talked to Adam last wekend at the dyno and cant wait to visit your shop.

Do you have a special on the used units, I can swing by and take them off your hands.

The results would not be as dramatic on a stock truck (or without much Fuel). Its just like the Heater grid delete spacers, a lot of people frown on it and say it wont do much. But every little bit helps. If you look at all the restrictions and start eliminating them you would be suprised what it all adds up to.

Its just like HVAC with the flow rates and how every bend or bottle neck reduces flow and makes the fan work harder. The more efficiant the flow the more efficiant the whole system is.

After all aN engine is still just a big old Air Pump. The more in the better. I still dont know why people are skeptical of these products. If you just look at a CR air horn you can see how restrictive it is.

OK folks I am now an official Supporting Vendor here on DTR! I have access to just about anything you could want, but given the response to this thread, I would like to offer some killer pricing on any of the three intake manifolds we tested. Please PM me or email me at erik@trivalleyperformance.com and I will get you a price. From now through Jan 12th, I won't let price prevent you from getting an intake horn if you want one!
