What Intake will produce the most turbo noise????? I had a diesel power magazine with a test on this but lost it.......

My AEM, make a ton of noise, also the AFE stage 2 will pound the noise!!

 

I've heard the Scotty II is really loud if you can still get it?

Mine is really loud, I can hear it over my straight 5" pipe. Did a DIY airbox.

 

I had the AFE Stage II and it was too loud for me. I now have my brother's Stage I and He has my Stage II. Stage I is somewhat quiter. But still loud.

 

I have the stage II, and I find it really loud, almost to the point of being annoying. It makes me think there is a leak it whines so much, but I have checked front to back several times and it seems tight. I was suprised how much it killed my low end. With the smarty on 9 and the stock intake it was really responsive on the low end, now with the new AFE it has lost a lot of the low end snap, but the top end just screams now. You can hear it breath when you accelerate at highway speeds, and the motor actually seems to rev a lot easier.

 

i think the scotty II is one of the loudest. thats what i have. when you cut that 4 1/2" hole in the fire wall, you can hear it talking to ya. w/o the slilencer ring little bit louder too. i dont mind it.

 

AFE Stage II screams like a fighter jet!!

im running a modified factory box and tube and it sounds pretty good, but the afe tage 2's sound better...but i dont mind savign a couple hundred bucks. most of the guys around here are runnin afe's tho

 

AEM with the silencer ring MIA is nice and loud. Plus, AEM is a dry filter and cheaper than AFE. Im telling you, this set up sings!!

my AFE stage two screams down the road even at 5 psi boost it still sings to me i love it. i'm sure when i pull up next to people they wonder what the hell i have in my truck. had a subaru wrx trying to compete with my turbo noise his little blow off was nothing to my turbo at just 20 psi.

 

I added a clamp on filter to my stock tube. My ring is gone and all of the stuff gutted in the tube. Mine sings pretty good but would I here more with a aftermarket setup?
