I'm not going to get a chance to put the pump on until Wednesday, so I'll keep you all posted. I think the 600 requires more fuel with the TST than the 555 engines and that's why we're the ones having the pump problems...(and the bad mileage)

I have run my box on 9/9 (just to see how it did only once or twice ) without any fuel problems. 5/5 and 6/6 all day long w/o a problem and the stock pump. Do you have the new program? I think you should. TST had a very small # of boxes have a random misfire or pop out of the tailpipe due to the loss of pilot injection (suposedly fixed with the new program). But there were some earlier boxes that were defective and never did work right even with all new programing.

A while back there was a problem with some fuses going out and causing the same problem.Mine did the same thing and i replaced the fuses and no more problem. The fuses are under the cover.remove the smallscrews and you will see the fuses.I put 5amp fuses in if my memory is correct.Might want to give that a try.

Thanks katoiler, I'll check that out. I have a hard time believing that it's running out of fuel due to sometimes it does it on settings as low as 3/1!!! It actually seems that the cooler it is outside that the worse the problem is. It's about 70deg here today and it really bad! I don't know, maybe my lift pump is going south, but the truck only has 4k miles!!! That's DC for ya though...lol

When mine would do it,it did not matter what setting it was on. as soon as you put your foot into it it would sound as though it was farting.Something about the fuses blowing would cut out half of the cylinders.

Well, I installed the Diesel Dynamics big pump and line kit last night. I must say this is a very nice kit. Everything went into place nicely with no modifications needed. The truck runs MUCH better on the lower settings. It's amazing what a little fuel pressure will do... The pump is kind of noisy, you can hear it humming in the cab at idle, but it's nothing I can't live with for the power it supports... Even on 3/3 there is a huge difference. Enough that I would recommend a pump to anybody with a PMCR, even if you haven't had any problems. You WILL see a difference in power due to the injectors having more than enough fuel to support the longer durations the TST provides.

The Diesel Dynamics kit comes with a fitting that goes into the filter housing after you remove the stock lift pump. All lines are AN style pushlock fittings (same Nascar uses). This kit is designed to work best without the stock pump. I don't know why anyone would leave it on their truck, it's worthless junk, and only hinders the flow of thier good pump. Until DC starts using some decent lift pumps, I would replace them with aftermarket on any truck that's got even the most slight mods...

Well, it turns out the problem is NOT fixed. I do have more power on the lower settings, but still cuts out and loses cylinders when you turn it up a little. I also have some new codes...
