Installed Silvania Silverstar Headlights

This was not in any way shape or form an easy task. I would have rather wrestled a gorilla!!!

Having said that they work great... I also put a couple of washers on the top housing screw to point the beams down a little.

Did the same thing acouple of weeks ago. Definite improvement; but still not as bright as I would like.

I agree I think they are a pain in the A$$ to change.I bought the PIAA bulbs for my truck.I hope they last for a long time.coobie

Install The Brite Box and adjust the height of the light pattern. I have never had better lighting than my set up now...with the STOCK bulbs.

Genos has them, but with the 3rd gen trucks you need two, one for each headlight, $149.95 for the pair.

I just don't see how anyone thought changing the headlight bulbs was a pain. It couldn' t have been easier, it took me at most 10 minutes to do both sides. Three torx bolts and the entire headlight assembly pops out forward, change the bulb, reverse... what was so tricky?

Lightman,I should have added,I have a full brush guard on my truck.I had to buy a longer Torx srew driver to get to the outside screw.coobie

Yes it can,I had to take the brush guard all the way off the truck.Kind of pain in the rear.But I still grin every time I drive this truck.Take care,coobie
