Installed my PML rear cover (FInally)

Nice fit, and it took all 5 qts of Mobil 1 75-90 GL-5 Synthetic
Added a few pics to my Gallery
I'll try to install the PML +2 qts trans pan tomorrow

Love the way both my PML Diff. and Trans. pan fit.....easy install. I changed my trans. filter while I was in there too. I found that the recommended torqe for the trans. drain plug wasn't quite enough.....I had seepage, torqed it a bit more over specs. and it stopped. If I were to do it again, I would add a little thread sealant......first drain interval, I fully intend on doing just that.

I personally like the PML better than Mag-Hytec.....no reported problems with PML.....some with the Mag-Hytec have reported small problems with fitment, having to seal off one of the bolt holes prior to install and inaccurate readings if you utilize the dipstick.

I added thread sealant to each bolt including all three large ones. I will do the same to the
trans pan and I have a new filter to put in too. I remember your post about yours seeping
so I added sealant just in case. Thanks for the heads up on that. You gotta love those
HD gaskets they use these days, on the rear pan and trans pan. No screwing around
with the old types that would move and sqeeze out of place while you are torquing the bolts.
Did yours take a full 5 qts ? I dumped in all 5 qts and it still never flowed out of the fill hole.

I added 5 quarts with the PML diff cover. The fluid level is right at the level check hole.

I think someone confirmed this before, but have you guys confirmed that when the pml pan is filled to 'full' it is at the same fluid height/level as the stock pumpkin? Several have noted with the mag hytec cover that their overall fluid level was higher than stock - which raised some concerns.

Lightman, yes, the PML level check hole is at the same level as with the stock cover. I check it before installing the cover.
