installed BDDL tonight big difference

i borrowed it from a buddy of mine. i took off my edge ez box and ran the BDDL power pup program on the extreme setting. noticed a big difference all across the board. just trying to figure out if i need to get the crazy larry program and forget about the tst box?or get the tst box reprogramed without the twins setup and leave the extreme setting on it? very impressed with the setup. was suprised that it made that big of a difference. i can run the tst box up to 4/4 and still not have the truck spit and sputter.

The Crazy Larry setting is pretty insane. I can smoke 4 rear tires well into second gear. I run mine in the tow Perf. mode and it's really all the power I need. The tranny wont slip in CL mode provided you keep your foot out of it once the TC is locked. As far as temps go, the most I've seen is 1000-1050 in the perf mode...I was afraid to take my eyes off the road in the CL mode.

I run mine in the Performance setting all the time. I haven`t had any problems running it there. If I load the Extreme program, my truck wants to spit and sputter at WOT and then it will throw a code. I believe I`m running out of fuel ????

I get 15-16 in the perf. mode depending on how agressive I get. Mostly combined hwy/city. I'd likely get 17-18 if it werent for being 4x4 and DRW.

tst(twins),100 flows,ez and stock turbo? your turbo is the horse in this pic

FWIW blown turbos can cause severe engine damage, fires, and possibly death...ok maybe not death but to each his own. call holeset and tell them what your doing they may send you money for R&D.

Today I downloaded the latest upgrade from BD. There's a lot of new features. Idle up enable, door lock control, headlight timer, door lock horn chirp disable and a few others. I wish they'd give us the ability to turn off torque management. I can disable it on my car with just about any downloader.

where did you do that from? thier website?
or did they e-mail it to you?

i REALLY wanted delayed accessory power (where you can roll the windows up after you take key out)

you can do that with a Triple Dog per thier ads, but did you do a download to do it with a BD Power Pup Downloader, or the TD?

Running in Perf with the mods I`ve done, I`m honestly averaging about 18.5 mpg. Thats a combination of city/hwy driving. I don`t baby it, but I`m not real hard on it either. The more I can keep it under 2,100 RPM`s, the better mileage I get, which is pretty common on these trucks.

Yeah torque management would be nice. I've heard from some people that it's tough to keep it under control after you remove torque management. It hits that 2100-2200 barrier and it starts to take off on you. I'd love to try it myself, but I'm a little scared of taking the tranny or other parts out when launching.
