Which input shaft and flexplate

Allright now that im gathering up parts for tranny build who has the best flexplate? And who has the best input shaft? Im going to buy all suncoast for the hard parts, including valve body, clutches, band, bushings, and converter. I dont think it gets much better for those parts. But what about their input shaft and flexplate? Thanks for any input.

A Suncoast laminet flexplate will be all you need. A good quality billet input shaft is all you need. One piece units are the best.

Without question the strongest shafts made are Opie's fat shafts.

Of the standard sized shafts I'd still note for Opie's (Intelligent Engineering), but I hear the Sonax shafts are living under pretty big power.

When I did mine I got the Suncoast extreme rebuild kit and ordered thier Input and intermediate shafts, plus an extra goodie or two. As far as a flex plate I just shopped around and found a place that had a 10% off sale at the time on BD diesel laminated plates. No complaints about any of the parts, she's running smooth!

Opies shafts?

Thank you guys. Im going with suncoast flexplate, not sure about input shaft yet. I looked up opies parts but there is no contact info other than an address. Whats the deal with that? There are some links that i guess he sponsors on but what about as far as getting in touch with intelligent engineering? Any knowledge would be great. Although i dont know if im making enough power to even worry about it. But this is one thing i would like to do once.

Save yourself some money on that flexplate. This is all you need and it will help pay for the shaft.

Dunrite

It seems to me that a few company's are doing this design. And its really not a bad idea, if the stock one will hold 500 to 600hp i guess doubling them would give you more strength. How much is the question. I have heard good things about tony dunrite, so im sure he knows what he's doing. That makes me wonder about paying 400 something from suncoast. But i figured since i was getting everything else from there why not go ahead and get that coming as well. The diesel aftermarket world is evolving by the day.

Here are a couple of pics of my DTT Billet Flex plate. I think it is a super nice piece. The destroyed stocker was not mine, but it gives a comparison between the two.
