Being as DC wont design a brake for the 05 auto that they will warrent, what is the opinion of US Gear Decelerator?
Anyone using this and how do you like it?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they won't warranty an exhaust brake for 05's because the tranny can't handle it. The torque converter doesn't stay locked when decelerating and that makes the EB ineffective and just causes huge amounts of heat to build up in the tranny.

I'm sure you can get a new valve body that will make it work like an 06+ though?

It'd be simple enough to design an electrical circuit to lock up the converter when the exhaust brake is activated.

D'Oh! Guess that would work too.

Are there any other important changes to the 06+ trannys that allow them to be warranteed/used with an EB?
