Injectors

I had a guy today try and tell me that if you buy a performance box like the QuadXZT the only way you get the 100hp out of the box is you change your stock injectors. IS THIS TRUE? Im thinking its not. ANY OPINIONS? THANKS.

Look at all of the dyno runs everyone has been running with various boxes and stock injectors. The hp numbers are quite possible. Of course, 100 hp is pushing the limit with stock components, so you can see the various upgrades many do such as injectors, turbos, fuel pumps, air intakes, and exhaust in order to get the power while minimizing the heat.

Someone here, I can't remember who told me that stock injectors will flow alot more fuel than you think, your limited I think by how much air your stock turbo can push through your stock aftercooler into your stock head. However aftermarket injectors have different spray patterns and stuff like that, someone chime in if I'm incorrect.

I believe that Don M posted that about 530 hp is the limit with stock injectors on a single torbo and about 570 hp is the limit with twin turbos. Don't hold me to those numbers but they are close. There are many guys running in the upper 400's and low 500's with stock injectors on the third gen trucks.

boxes time the stock injector to open longer for more fuel to more power.
but with 100 hp stage 3 injector the power is alsome or scary
turbo is next it whines up way too fast! Poor Thing!
