injector upgrade
hello,
have read much about injectors going south. white smoke, rough idle and wondering if there is an up grade or a better injector that is more reliable. i have had my '05 with 40k miles in the shop for injector issues twice and going back in next week for symptons similar to the first two trips. white smoke and rough idle on start up.
all this leads me to believe injectors on these motors are suspect. when my warranty is up i want dependable injectors and would like recommendations from the group. don't need more HP or TQ just dependable.
what do you recommend?
thanks,
david

My Vote
I run the Industrial Injection 90 Hp injectors in my truck and love them. I have had them in since right befor they started to market them ( yeah its the 1st set made and sold) and I havent had a single problem out of them after nearly 100,000 miles. They provide good smooth power and keep egts at a good level for towing too. So if you ask me give Brady at Industrial Injection a call.
I put Flux 1.5's in my engine with 0.0 hours on it. I has about 40,000km and just over 600 hours on it now. I run Smarty Beta 4.4 and I tow at the max and I've had no problems EGT, mileage, smoke, ratttle, etc...with the stock turbo with the wastegate actuator clamped. The II injectors are either 3 flows or Bosio's. Do some more research. If you run additional pressure some injector nozzle remodelers will not warranty the nozzles. Only F1 actually checks out your injectors to ensure all are working the same internally...and can fix them if they aren't. My II injectors kept clogging and they promised to send me new nozzles and after 20 phone calls and emails I gave up and DonM and Rip at F1 went over the top to set me right. Good Luck, KS
