Injector Time! Attn Don

Wasn't sure the best way to let you know, but my injectors should show up today via UPS... We had mentioned 5.5's in the past, but through the other discussions it may be that I can go as high as 6 or 6.2 -- I just want to do this upgrade one last time. I guess this is about as clear as mud , so if you have any questions...

Go big-- or go home...

I would use the nitrous theory of getting injectors... increase size until flame goes out then back down a notch...

I am upgrading from the 3.3's because on my truck I feel that I'm leaving a bit of air on the table with the 3.3's and the stack I'm using -- that and since I don't tow heavy AND was going to install water injection anyway, I figure shoot do one last upgrade so I can be in the 700+hp range and I'll be good (right??) Don't wanna keep doing upgrade upgrade upgrade. Just wasn't sure what I wanted until I had the current set of upgrades done and now I know I'm happy with the electronics and I'm happy with the twins

How long is the turn around time on the injectors. I would like to get some in the 75-90 horse range, and what is the average cost. The injectors now have 90k on them..

Not to completely hijack here but. . .

I have II 120hp injectors in my truck and am thinking about swapping to an F1 injector. I am not real sure on what size to go to, but after reading everything on here and seeing the difference that people have had in temps, smoke, and power just switching to an F1. What would be the best injector to switch to and can my II tips be upgraded or would I be buying a whole new set of tips? Is there a core charge on tips?

I ordered some from F1 and Don had them back in less than a week and that was during the new years holiday. I do live about an hour from his shop though. So, I guess it depends on where you live. THANKS DON!!!!

I know some of Don's dealers have the popular sizes in stock, and will do an exchange with you. I know Source Automotive does this.

Just a personal observation and opinion... so take it as that only; however, in my experience, I would say that F1 tips in the 150 range would give about the same heat, smoke and drivability as your 120's do now, but with the nice bump in power.

That statement is meant to be a compliment to Don's work... he is getting more with less. Or in other words, he makes a more efficient nozzle.

Clear as mud?

Of course, I would let Don himself verify the accuracy of my statement. Again, mine is just a layman's observation. No hard data to back it up.

I dont want to do just tips, i would feel better with him going through my injectors and repairing as needed. Do they carry the full injector in stock or just the tips???

Don makes the tips, installs them on your injectors, then goes through the injectors for flow rate, leakage, etc. and repairs as necessary.

Full injectors. If you feel more comfortable with Don repairing your injectors, Don's turn around time is very good.
