Question Injector Questions Please Help

I am looking at buying DDP injectors and have a few questions. Can injectors be ran by themselves? Will I see good power results from them by themselves? Will they cause the truck to smoke a lot? Do I need FASS pump, and clutch? Will I have EGT problems? Really would appreciate any advice/ experience from people running just injectors.

Injectors by themselves won't get you where you want to go without a fueling box of some sorts. You got to get back to the basics that your ecm controls all functions period. Bigger injectors won't do much without added fuel on a stock ecm. The ecm controls the time the injectors open on the compression stroke (timing) and length of time it is open (duration). Also add map (boost pressure) reading to the ecm control parameters for when the ecm see's fit to increase the rail pressure from the cp3 along with the other two parameters. Yes bigger injectors work but you need a fueling box/downloader to trick/fool the ecm. Oh and then with all the above computer tricks fire needs oxygen so a change in turbo/turbos becomes the issue. Let's not forget about the drivetrain.....torque=twist!!!! I know I first thought about injectors maybe cummins 275 rv injectors till I researched it a little more. HA I should talk still basically stock

Use the search. Many people have reported that new performance injectors felt just as strong as their fueling boxes. I have no personal knowleged but have read a few posts that reported this.

Question Where's the 3rd gen masters??

I myself have wondered how injectors alone would work on the 3rd gen CP3 trucks since I had just finally gotten a good grasp on the injectors on the VP44 trucks when I got my 03.

Maybe some of the guru's will chime in and give a little input.
