Injector Question - DON?

I am pulling my injectors to send to F1. I am going with the Flux 1 injectors (40HP) which I'm sure will be fine for my application. I am curious if I should go with the Flux 2 injectors (100HP). Before anyone replies with "bigger is always better" read how I drive my truck. It is a daily driver. I tow sometimes and play sometimes. I DON'T WANT A LOT OF SMOKE which I know around here is something that most people like. I don't pull sleds and I'm not a track junkie. I just want to play sometimes without smoking out everyone. And I want it to be reliable. I would be interested in hearing an opinion from some of the injector builders like Don at F1.

I would also like to hear about this. I don't have near as many mods as you and i have been wanting the flux 1's but would like to know if there are any drawbacks running flux 2's on a near stock truck.

I just did a set of Flux2's on a 03 HO with AFE exhaust,stg2 air and intake horn with a Banks I/cooler and HTT 62-13ss.Running The Smarty Revo on level 9 will get just a puff if you punch it preboost at low rpm.Normal driving is very clean and smooth. Now ramp up the TST and you can roll the coal.

I had flux1's and went to 2's.I say go bigger the first time and be done with it.I use my truck about the same as you.I have seen no ill effects running the 2's.You have plenty of turbo to support them.It will only be smokey if you want it to.

The 03-04 can handle a larger injector than the 04.5 and up. I think you would find a 1.8 very usable and very very low smoke.

I have 1.8s and love them. Also, my dad has an 06 with the same turbo as you as well as Smarty and mp8. He also has a stage 3 pump from Floor It. I think you would be very very happy with 1.8s.

Thanks Don! Are the Flux 1's actually a 1.8?

I just put a set of the Flux 2's in my 03 about a month ago and just pulled them back out and sent them back to Don,they werent enough power for me...I still dont think the injectors were the Flux 2's but he's going to check them out for me and prob upgrade to a 3.5 or a 4....I am eventually going with a set of twins anyway

No, flux 1's are around 40hp, 1.8's are 75-90hp depending on your mods

I gained about 115hp from 1.8s with a single A3k turbo, lift pump, stage 1 cp3, and a boost fooler. That is over stock dyno numbers with no extra fueling other than the injectors. The numbers were roughly 385/900 - don't remember exact.

Hmm, I wonder how Flux 1.5-1.6 would do for me. I do tow heavy but I can turn the electronics down while doing so. I was thinking 1.2's or so but it seems a good many of folks get away with bigger.
