I asked this question yesterday and did not get any response decided to reword it Im looking to get a set of .75 flux injectors and was wondering if anyone is running them and if they substantially improve the milage. Im getting horrific milage right now empty 13 with trailer 6 and 7 mpg I think I have an injector problem. and Im trying to figure out what my options are thanks for any help

 

Are you getting 13mpg with the Smarty?

-How fast do you drive?
-How much does the truck weigh?
-How much do you idle?

If you have an injector problem you WILL know it. Oil/diesel spewing everywhere, or the truck will knock really bad and white smoke will pour from the exhaust...

 

I have tried all speeds nothing helps the smartys on three and I dont idle at all I averaged about 7.5 mpg on an 1800 mile round trip with a gooseneck trailer that weighs about 16,000 lbs with load, this was a compact load not much wind resistance and the fuel cost are wiping me out, my 01 would get 12 on the same trip and the same power.

 

The older trucks will get better mileage than these anyways, CRs have a thrid injection event and way more emmision laws to deal with. Have you tried different software with the Smarty? Do you have a modded exhaust/intake?

 

I have an intake coming I cant go any more aggressive on the smarty or my clutch slips I have tried the lower levels doesnt seem to help Im in a state that emissions dont really matter as long as I dont smoke a cop or or some other stupid move

 

You dont have to go to higher levels just try different software, what version do you have now?

 

Im not sure, what ever it comes with stock I have a mac computer so I have to figure out how to download it you think that might help?
